WEATHER UPDATE
HPS is under a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING and a TORNADO WATCH so students and staff have been moved into the storm shelters. We will not be able to have students picked up until we get the ALL CLEAR from PCEM. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tomorrow's Miner Softball Regional has been postponed to Thursday.
We wanted to let families know about a schedule change for our upcoming Classroom Awards Ceremony (which is separate from our Senior Awards Ceremony). Though it is usually held in the evening, we've had to move our Classroom Awards Ceremony to Monday, May 5th during the school day due to a scheduling conflict with Baseball Regionals. This will help ensure all students have the opportunity to attend.
*Please note: This event is for students who will be receiving a classroom award. Teachers will notify those students individually.
The middle school ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. (doors will open at 9:30), and the high school ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m., both in the High School Auditorium. The middle section will be reserved for families of award recipients.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to accommodate all of our students during this busy time of year.

Seniors and Parents:
Pictures for the graduation slideshow (1 baby picture and 1 elementary-age picture) are due to Mrs. Lindley by Friday, May 2nd. You can either email the pictures to her or give her the photos with the student's name written on them.
Tues, May 6th the Choctaw Nation will be doing athletic physicals for free for students in grades 6-11 for next school year here on campus. Forms must be signed by parent/guardian. Copies of the required form are in the offices & I've attached them here also

Attention Seniors and Parents!
The State of Oklahoma now requires all seniors to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to meet graduation requirements.
If you have not yet completed your FAFSA, please see Mrs. King as soon as possible! She can answer any questions you may have and help you with the process. Opt-out options are available in certain cases, and Mrs. King can provide you with that information as well.

Friday Schedule
HPS will be releasing early on Friday, April 25th to allow students and staff to attend the services for Mr Tony Skinner. Elementary will release at 1:00 and HS/MS will release at 1:05.
We would like to congratulate Cicilia Wilson, Nolan Tucker, and Gaven Wilson for receiving Superior ratings at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest at OSU! Go Miners! 💙🏆🎼
Due to some unusual activity close to the elementary school, the After School Program has gone on a soft lockdown until HPD has resolved the issue. Students are safe inside the building, but if you would like to pick up your child you may do so at this time.

We regret to inform everyone that we lost former HS Choir Director Tony Skinner this week. His family has requested that any former students who would like to join in singing at his funeral services contact Krista Patterson at 918-421-9422. Services will be Friday at 3pm at the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Please keep his family in your prayers at this difficult time.
