A new Warning has been issued for our area. We will delay the start of school until 9am. We are holding buses and will update when they are able to begin their routes. We will need staff members who can report to do so. Those under Warnings can report 1 hour late

The Hartshorne Event Center is OPEN for those seeking shelter. We will be delaying our buses by 30 minutes so that students aren't outside or on a bus during this storm. Please have students stay inside and our buses will be 30 minutes later than normal.

SCHEDULE UPDATE
We will be moving to Distance Learning on Thur (3/6). We will be hosting the SE Regional Weight Meet Wed-Fri and our boys and girls basketball teams will be in OKC at the state tournament. Friday is a Staff Only day. Everyone will be back on campus Monday (3/10).

State Tournament - OKC Fairgrounds Clear Bag Policy


All MS & HS baseball games scheduled for this week have been or will be rescheduled for later dates.

1) Tickets must be purchased through the State Fairgrounds either online or at the Main Entrance of Jim Norick Arena
2) Clear bags ONLY
3) No posters, noise makers, horns, etc
4) No standing on seats or the rail behind opposing teams

AREA TOURNAMENT UPDATE
The Area Basketball Tournament is now LIVE on the Hartshorne School Facebook page. Tipoff for girls will be around 6pm. Boys will play immediately following the girls game.

CALLING ALL MINERS
This week has been a massive success for THE Miner Nation and it comes down to Friday. The Miner Band has Pre-District Competition at Checotah, FFA & 4H wrap up the County Show at the Expo Center, and both basketball teams are in Chickasha at the Area Finals. It's time to grab those Picks & Shovels and get to work!! It's ALWAYS a great day to be a Miner, but when hardware is on the line there's no one better than BIG BLUE! Let's Go Now!

Early Dismissal Update
HPS will be closing early on Fri (2/28) to allow for travel to the Area Basketball Tour. in Chickasha. ES will dismiss at 12:50pm and HS/MS will dismiss at 12:55pm. Good Luck to our County Stock Show contestants and basketball teams. GO BIG BLUE!

Miner Baseball Apparel Fundraiser

On Wednesday, February 26th, our students will hear from Valerie Hinton, Behavioral Health Therapist for the Choctaw Nation, about suicide prevention. Suicide affects many lives, and raising awareness is an important step in supporting one another. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the high school office.

HS Students and Staff
We will be hosting the 1st Rd of the 2A basketball regional tomorrow. Staff will park on the west end of the MS parking lot and students will park on the east end of the MS parking lot. We are leaving the Event Center and Taylor Gym lots open for guests.

WEATHER UPDATE
HPS will be back on campus Friday (2/21). The forecast shows temps around 15* when our buses run in the morning. We encourage parents to bring students if possible, but if not, please prepare students for these extreme temps before sending them to the bus stop.
