On Wednesday, February 26th, our students will hear from Valerie Hinton, Behavioral Health Therapist for the Choctaw Nation, about suicide prevention. Suicide affects many lives, and raising awareness is an important step in supporting one another. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the high school office.
HS Students and Staff
We will be hosting the 1st Rd of the 2A basketball regional tomorrow. Staff will park on the west end of the MS parking lot and students will park on the east end of the MS parking lot. We are leaving the Event Center and Taylor Gym lots open for guests.
WEATHER UPDATE
HPS will be back on campus Friday (2/21). The forecast shows temps around 15* when our buses run in the morning. We encourage parents to bring students if possible, but if not, please prepare students for these extreme temps before sending them to the bus stop.

HPS will not be in session on Thursday (2/20). The Snow Day scheduled for April 25th will now be a regular day of class for students and staff. Stay safe and warm.
OSSAA Regional Basketball info: All Class B-2A regionals have been moved back a day due to weather. We will host an afternoon & an evening session of the 1st round on Friday, Feb 21. Afternoon session starts at 1. Evening session starts at 6. Tickets are sold per session. Our Girls play at 6, Boys at 7:30. Doors will open about 1 hour prior to 1st scheduled game time of each session. Admission for adults & students: $8.35 thru GoFan digital ticket (QR code below) or $10 cash at gate. Be sure to select the proper session(s) that you are wanting to attend. OSSAA playoff passes are only accepted passes. No reserved seating is allowed for the playoffs.
The Elementary Science Fair has been postponed due to the weather until next week. We will share more information and details at a later date.

HPS will be releasing students at 12pm today and buses will run at 12:15. We will transition to Distance Learning on Wed (2/19). We will monitor the weather and return to campus as soon as possible. The ES/MS afterschool program is cancelled until Monday (2/24).

Senior panel retakes will be Tuesday, February 18th. We will start at 7:45 a.m. Please note, we must have your original panel picture forms back regardless if you are taking retakes or not or if you are ordering or not. If you are not ordering, we need to know which one you want to go on the panel and in the yearbook. Also, please be aware, if you take retakes you will not get a proof of it, this will be the final picture and what goes in the yearbook and on the panel.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The City of Hartshorne will be closing 9th St from Penn Ave north to the railroad tracks to repair a sewer line. This repair could take several days so parents should plan to choose an alternate route to Northward Elementary until next week.

6th Grade should return from their BizTown trip today by 4:30pm. Parents/Guardians, please be prepared to pick up your child by that time. Thank you for allowing them to participate in this enriching activity!

Senior Night is Monday, February 10th, at 5:15 p.m. at the Hartshorne Event Center. Basketball seniors, including managers, will be honored along with their families. Game vs. Talihina will start at 6 p.m.
